I Quit My Day Job

Well, after deep consideration, I quit my day job!  I started about 3 months ago.  It sounded like a dream job!  But soon turned into a nightmare!  It's probably not a bad job for the right person, but not for this girl!  I am a do-er, a busy bee.  I can't stand around and do nothing.  I either need to be busy with my hands or with my mind.  


Anyway...we will see how this goes.  I am going back to my old job part time and I am going to give the world of crafting a try.  I can't wait!  I know it's risky, but I've thought about it for a long, long time and I'm finally just going to go for it!  It's now or never.  I've been getting organized, painting my studio/office and getting ready to set up shop!  It's exciting and scary all at the same time.  

One Crazy Summer

It has been one crazy summer! I have been bogged down at work for the last month and have not had any time in my studio or out on the road to search for treasures. My Etsy shop and my Artfire shop are almost empty. I feel like a rat in a cage right now, but this too shall pass. I apologize to all of my customers who are anxiously waiting for their custom orders and I greatly appreciate their patience. It shouldn't be too much longer before I can get back in there and fire up my torch! My son is moving to Denver on August 28th and after he leaves, I'm hoping to take a break Labor Day weekend and enjoy it with my family at the cabin and then get back to creating.
